Born in 1977 in Fukuoka, Japan and currently lives in Mie, Japan.
In 2001, he started "Wanowa", a sound work using percussion and other instruments, at Ohorien, a support service for the disabled in Fukuoka. She has participated in various music events beyond welfare. She has performed with many top musicians and has received favorable reviews in many places.

In 2005, she moved to Nara to take over the activities of Wanowa from her friend in Fukuoka, and in 2011, she restarted Wanowa at Taiyo-no-ie, a support facility for people with disabilities in Yamazoe Village, Nara Prefecture. He began his musical career in the mid 80's, working with drums, synthesizers, tape loops and programming. From the late 90's to the early 00's, he was a core member of "SOFT" and "AOA", two groups that led the Japanese dance music scene, and released many albums. At the same time, he started to work as a DJ in earnest, playing at many clubs and parties.
In the latter half of the 00's, he moved to Okinawa and was shocked by Okinawan folk music, and started the label "budryukyu" and the band "CHURASHIMA NAVIGATOR" to fuse native Okinawan music and dance music. He has been DJing and performing all over Asia and has built up a solid fan base in many countries.

QOTAROO is a graphic artist/designer and one of the leaders of the party scene in the Kansai area in the '90s.
